Afternoon Delight

Summer Ale

Alc/vol: 4.3% | IBU: 24

A refreshing, easy-drinking pale ale chock-full of citrusy hops. Perfect after a hard day on the job, when you just want to kick back and enjoy the fruits of your hard graft. Also good for when you’ve done f@#k-all and just want a beer.

Dirty Copper

Amber Ale

Alc/vol: 4.8% | IBU: 30

Firm and pleasant bitterness, like a Friday afternoon on the beat, with caramel/toffee flavours and aromas, and a slight wafting of hops. An easy-drinking beer with a slightly more malt-focused flavour.

Dances With Hops

American IPA

Alc/vol: 6.4% | IBU: 55

A combination of five hops gives this beer an intense hop flavour and aroma, with citrus, fruit and pine characters. The hop assault is balanced by a higher alcohol level and a firm, lingering bitterness. A seriously tasty beer for those in search of a lupulin fix!

Barry White

Robust Porter

Alc/vol: 6.3% | IBU: 42

Big, dark, smooth and velvety with notes of toffee, caramel, chocolate and a hint of coffee – just like the big man himself. Where complex malt flavours are matched by stronger alcohol and a balanced bitterness – and the same goes for our beer.

For Rex

Rye Golden Ale

Alc/vol: 5.4% | IBU: 30

This full-bodied golden ale is our tribute to Rex Mundy, founder of Mundy & Sons (our landlords who operate the butchery underneath us). He was golden, wry and still getting the job done downstairs every day well into his eighties, just like our tasty, tasty ale… except for the eighties bit. The rye adds an earthy, spicy/peppery malt character. To our beer that is, not to Rex. That would be weird.

English Mild

Alc/vol: 3.0% | IBU: 22

Tally ho, pip pip, old bean, what’s all this then? Well, it’s a mid-strength, malt-driven deep brown ale that blends subtle caramel notes with a hint of chocolate and a nutty finish. Not as nutty as telling the EU to sod off, but still a bit bonkers. Low in bitterness and alcohol make this a sessionable winter ale. It’s so British it even tastes great warm.

Alc/vol: 6.1% | IBU: 20

Brewed especially for our first Oktoberfest, Marvin is pretty German. He’s as German as Lederhosen and Dirndls (sometimes at the same time) and he has been known to entertain ideas of casually annexing other beers on the same table…  but that was while ago and we don’t really talk about that anymore, he’s totally fine now. “Fine” in that he’s a full-bodied, rich, malty lager with a deep amber colour.
